When the part exists but the drawing doesn't, scanning is the shortest route to a model. We capture the object, turn the capture into a mesh and, where needed, into a clean CAD model you can keep editing. That's how discontinued spare parts get reproduced, how a finished piece gets checked against spec, and how something irreplaceable gets archived.

What scans well, and what doesn't
Matte, mid-toned surfaces with enough shape for the scanner to lock onto capture best. Glossy, transparent and black surfaces either reflect or swallow the light, so they get a temporary coating that washes off afterwards. Very thin edges and deep narrow holes simply aren't visible to a scanner — that geometry gets rebuilt in modelling. Tell us the size and material and we'll say up front what's realistic.
From capture to a usable model
A raw scan is a mesh of a million triangles — faithful, but awkward to work with. For straight reproduction that's enough and goes directly to print. If the part needs changing, the mesh is converted into a real CAD model with flat faces, diameters and fillets you can keep editing. The first question is always what you intend to do with the model — that decides how much processing is worth paying for.

Common questions
- How accurate is scanning?
- For hand-sized objects, roughly a tenth of a millimetre is realistic — more than enough for reproduction and for most technical parts. Deviation grows with size; tell us what's being scanned and you'll get a concrete figure.
- Do you have to keep my object?
- The scan itself is quick and the object usually goes back the same day. If it's valuable or irreplaceable, we'll arrange a time when the owner can be present.
Delivery across Bosnia & Herzegovina
Finished pieces go out by courier to any address in BiH — Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Zenica, Mostar, Bijeljina, Brčko, Prijedor, Doboj, Trebinje and everywhere in between. Payment is cash on delivery, and collection in person is possible at the Sarajevo studio.
