For a single gift, a few working days is usually enough. For weddings and guest-favour runs, come to us two or three weeks ahead — that leaves room for a sample piece you approve before the rest.

Can I bring my own object?

Yes, and it's very common. Bring the object and the wording; if it's irreplaceable we test on a similar material first, because engraving can't be undone.

For weddings and anniversaries

The most requested are wooden ring boxes, serving boards with the date, leather tags with initials, and welcome signs for the day itself. Guest favours get made in series too — keyrings, bottle openers, wooden magnets — where one design repeats fifty or a hundred times at a much lower price per piece.

For companies

Corporate gifts with an engraved logo read very differently from ones with a sticker — the mark is in the material and doesn't come off. Most often we make wooden presentation boxes, leather labels and coasters, acrylic awards, and plaques for reception desks and office doors.

For larger runs it's worth sending the logo as a vector (SVG, AI, PDF) — that keeps it sharp at any size. If all you have is an image of the logo we'll convert it, but that's an extra step better settled before the run starts.

What engraves badly

Not every material takes engraving. Varnished and laminated wood often marks unevenly because the laser strips the coating first. Some plastics melt rather than engrave. Text below roughly 6 pt blurs on wood, and very fine lines disappear. If you're unsure, tell us what the object is — we test before touching the original.
